Eductrade is making progress in Honduras with the design, construction, equipment and commissioning of Tocoa’s new San Isidro Hospital, a modern facility set to transform hospital care in the municipality of Tocoa, located in the department of Colón.
The total land area exceeds 27,000 m², with a built area of over 11,000 m², spread across two levels.
The hospital will be equipped with:
- 119 hospital beds, distributed across specialties such as intensive care, neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, internal medicine and surgery.
- 3 operating theatres and 3 delivery rooms.
- Dedicated areas for inpatient care, emergency services, diagnostics and outpatient consultations, as well as support facilities including a kitchen, laundry, pharmacy, mortuary, maintenance and waste management.
- An innovative architectural design with interior courtyards that optimise natural lighting, cross ventilation, and ensure clear zoning of public, private and technical areas.
- Complementary infrastructure, such as accommodation for families and dedicated spaces for social and community services.
