Hospitals in Los Ríos and Los Lagos

The Ministry of Public Works of Chile awards Eductrade, in consortium with a major investment fund and GIA+A, the contract for the construction and operation of the public works project called Red de los Ríos - Los Lagos for 270 million euros.

The four hospitals to be built under this contract will serve more than 290,000 people.

The Los Lagos Hospital will have an estimated surface area of 15,000 m2 and will provide low-complexity care. The La Unión Hospital, a medium-complexity health center, will have a surface area of 36,000 m2. The third hospital planned for the Los Ríos Region will be in Río Bueno and will have a surface area of 43,000 m2. Finally, the Puerto Varas Hospital will be a new medium-high complexity center for the Los Lagos Region. The facility, which will have a surface area of approximately 59,000 m2, will serve an estimated population of 158,000 people.

The contract includes 15 years of infrastructure maintenance, as well as the management of medical equipment and both clinical and non-clinical furniture.
